STRIDE 5k Challenge

At STRIDE, we believe everyone has what it takes to get stronger, healthier, faster & fitter. We want to prove that concept with the STRIDE 5k Challenge. We’re looking for 24 brave, motivated, new clients who want to run their first 5k. Selected Challenge participants will be given all the support they need to make complete the Pasadena 5k on January 20. We’ll provide the winners with a training plan, coaching support and free unlimited Stride classes through 1/20. Winners will be chosen at the end of the month. Enter now and take on the challenge!


What are the requirements for entering the contest?

  • You are not already a STRIDE client

  • You consider yourself a new OR ‘returning’ runner. i.e., you’ve never run a 5k race, or if it’s been many years since you’ve attempted to run.

  • You are cleared by your doctor to participate in running and high-intensity physical training

  • 18 years or older

What happens if I’m chosen as a 5k Challenger?

  • You and the other chosen participants will be provided with a custom training plan that details when and how often to take STRIDE classes, depending on your schedule and current fitness level.

  • You’ll have unlimited, free access to attend STRIDE classes to complete your training.

  • We’ll document your journey using interviews, photos & videos so that our community can follow along on your success.

  • You’ll sign up for the Pasadena 5k on January 20, 2019 and walk/run/jog your 5k!

By signing your initial "Enlistee" contract and/or attending classes, events, activities, and other programs and using STRIDE studio facilities and equipment, you hereby acknowledge on behalf of yourself, your heirs, personal representatives and/or assigns, that there are certain inherent risks and dangers in the strenuous nature of the STRIDE workout program. You acknowledge that you have voluntarily chosen to participate in a program of intense physical exercise. You acknowledge that STRIDE strongly recommends that you consult with your physician prior to commencing any class. You also acknowledge that some of these risks cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries. You further acknowledge that the specific risks vary from one activity to another, but range from (1) minor injuries such as scratches, bruises, and sprains; (2) major injuries such as eye injury or loss of sight, joint or back injuries, heart attacks, and concussions; and (3) catastrophic injuries including paralysis and death. At all times, you shall comply with all stated and customary terms, posted safety signs, rules, and verbal instructions given to you by instructors and staff. In consideration of being allowed to participate in and access the STRIDE classes and studio facility, you hereby (1) agree to assume full responsibility for any and all injuries or damage which are sustained or aggravated by you in relation to the STRIDE classes and studio facility, (2) release, indemnify, and hold harmless STRIDE, subsidiary affiliate entities, and each of their respective members, employees and representatives and agents, and each of their respective successors and assigns and all others, from any and all responsibility, claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities to the fullest extent allowed by law arising out of or in any way related to participation in the STRIDE classes or STRIDE studio facilities, and (3) represent that you (a) have no medical or physical condition that would prevent you from properly using any of STRIDE classes and studio facility, (b) do not have a physical or mental condition that would put you in any physical or medical danger, and (c) have not been instructed by a physician to not participate in physical exercise. You acknowledge that if you have any chronic disabilities or conditions, you are at risk in participating in STRIDE classes and use of studio facility, and should not be participating in any classes.
