Since 2012 Leanne has been working as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor in Los Angeles. She loves hearing clients say those common three words, “I can’t run.” Hearing that means that same person is going to feel like a total badass when they eventually, inevitably say, “Oh. Actually, I can run.” Watching people morph their opinions and perceptions of themselves is Leanne's favorite part of this work. Running holds a special place in her heart. In her class, you're likely to hear artists like Kanye West, Diplo, and Amy Winehouse.
Misa, STRIDE co-founder, believes that anyone in the room can be a runner. Running has changed her perception of who she can be, and what she's capable of. She is an RRCA-certified running coach and puts her heart into choosing music that will motivate and inspire. "I used to see the word 'Impossible.' Now I see 'I'm Possible.' Running has changed the way I look at myself and all that I am capable of accomplishing in my life. My goal is to inspire that same change in you. I try to create a relaxed and supportive environment in my classes. I never want anyone to feel unsure, overwhelmed, or intimidated. I want you to leave my class feeling you have given more of yourself than you imagined possible - and have a ton of fun doing it!".
Known for her killer playlists. In her class, you're likely to hear artists as diverse as ABBA to Jay-Z and everything in between.
"If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." This quote sums up the kind of positive outlook and vibrant energy Aubrey brings to coaching. She uses running as a form of meditation and loves how the practice helps to relax her mind and body. Outside of running, Aubrey is currently working on being able to snatch (Olympic lift) her body weight #170 (her current PR is #135!) If you're heading to any music festival, you're likely to see Aubrey there. Her playlists are made up of songs that make you want to dance and include artists like Kendrick Lamar, Lorde and Pitbull.
Megan calls group fitness her "second true love"- it only took 32 years to find it, and it was worth every second of the adventure. After experiencing the electric energy and the feeling of team training in a group with one goal, Megan quickly obtained certifications in several Les Mills® programs, including BODYPUMP, CXWorx, SPRINT and GRIT Series, as well as Mad Dogg® Spinning. She most recently earned her AFAA primary group fitness certification and also coaches HIIT and Bootcamp style classes. Megan takes pride in her ability to lead and motivate her participants through their workouts and is constantly striving to learn, improve and expand as an instructor because she is passionate about her participant's results. In her spare time, Megan can often be found outdoors hiking or biking or planning her next adventure abroad. In her class, you're likely to hear artists like Coldplay, Vampire Weekend, and Justin Timberlake.
Running has been a personal and emotional journey for Heather. The eternal theater nerd, Heather grew up focusing on acting, but her high school required her to play a sport each season. Not being naturally athletic, Heather saw running as a huge source of anxiety and dread as she was always the slowest one.
Running has turned from a HUGE source of anxiety and self-loathing to a source of strength and self love and what she uses now to combat anxiety! It has become a HUGE part of her life and identity and a symbol of trusting yourself and running your own race.
She is beyond excited to be part of the STRIDE Team and helping others with their own running journey! In Heather's class, you're likely to hear artists like Beyoncé, Britney, and Beastie Boys.
Noel Palomaria has been a group fitness instructor and personal trainer for nearly 20 years. He strives to bring excitement and a sense of community to his workouts that leave people feeling connected to one another. He's great at providing personal attention in his classes for a fun, stress-free experience. Noel's playlists are designed to drive you to the finish line. In his class, you can expect to hear artists like Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, and The Killers.
Antonio was born and raised in Pasadena, CA. He played college football and has coached high school football for the past decade, currently at Pasadena Poly. He has a Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis and has published and presented scientific research in Health, Sports, and Fitness. When joining Antonio's STRIDE class, expect to laugh, be encouraged, work hard and hear a great playlist, which tends to end with a James Taylor cooldown song.
If you asked Kolby 2 years ago what she would be doing after earning her masters in journalism from Georgetown University...she wouldn't have guessed that she'd be back in SoCal rediscovering her love for fitness! Whether it’s hitting the gym or running trails with friends, exercise has consistently been a constant in her life and the only thing she loves more than a good sweat session is MUSIC. In Kolby's classes, music is EVERYTHING and you’re likely to hear a little bit of everything - hip hop, to alternative, to epic music legends like David Bowie. Kolby is extremely excited to coach at STRIDE and to help people achieve their goals.
Michele brings her passion for athleticism, sports, music and all things fitness to each class she teaches. She grew up in Southern California. She currently lives in San Marino with her husband and son. She graduated from UCSD, where she played tennis and was an NCAA All American. Her competitive nature still drives her to compete and she has several races under her belt from half marathons, triathlons and Spartan. Her classes are motivational, challenging and fun. Her goal is to push you to your limits and help you discover your greatest strengths. Her upbeat and fun mix of music ranging from hip hop, alternative, top 40 and nostalgic 80’s and 90’s will inspire you through every sprint, hill and kettlebell swing. Favorite artists include Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Drake and Taylor Swift,
